Weekend Electrical maintains the licences, registrations and authorisations required for the range of services we provide. These include our Electrical Worker’s Licence, Electrical Contractor’s Licence (EC 17272), Refrigerant Handling Licence for air-conditioning work, Western Power Authorisation, and Data & Communications Cabling Registration.
Maintaining these licences and authorisations allows us to provide a broader range of commercial electrical, air-conditioning, data and communications, metering and authorised Western Power services through one electrical contractor.
As part of electrical contractor licensing requirements, contractors must also maintain appropriate public liability insurance. This provides additional confidence for clients, property managers and building owners engaging electrical contractors to work within their premises.
Commercial buildings can contain valuable electrical infrastructure, medical equipment, machinery, air-conditioning systems, communications equipment and other critical assets. For this reason, many building owners, facility managers and commercial organisations require contractors to maintain substantially higher levels of insurance than the statutory minimum.
Weekend Electrical carries $20 million in public liability insurance. While we have never made a public liability insurance claim, we maintain this level of cover for the protection and confidence of our commercial clients. We are happy to provide our current Certificate of Currency to clients, property managers or building owners upon request.
When you engage Weekend Electrical, you are engaging a licensed, authorised and insured commercial electrical contractor equipped to undertake electrical, air-conditioning, data and communications, and authorised Western Power-related work in professional and commercial environments.
